Mrs. Roslyn Jones

Hello! I’m Mrs. Roslyn Jones, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about myself with you. I grew up just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana, a place rich with culture and warmth that has shaped who I am today. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans and went on to complete my Master’s degree at Lamar University. I’m also a Certified Academic Language Therapist, thanks to specialized training through Scottish Rite's Take Flight Program.

Before moving to Texas, I had the privilege of working with Special Education students in Jefferson Parish Public School System and at an alternative school and at an elementary campus. In the Spring of 2005, I relocated to the North Texas area and began my journey with Plano ISD in 2006. Starting as a Special Education teacher, I’ve since evolved into my current roles as a Student Support Liaison and Instructional Specialist. These roles offer me the incredible opportunity to collaborate with students, teachers, and parents, and I genuinely love witnessing the growth and progress of my students throughout the year.

When I'm not working, I cherish spending time with my family, indulging in a good book, listening to music, and enjoying a relaxing cruise. I’m eagerly anticipating a fun and productive school year filled with new learning experiences and academic achievements.

A few of my favorite things:

Color: Blue
Season: Fall
Restaurant: Chili’s
Fast Food: Chick-fil-A
Drink: Sweet Tea, Arnold Palmer
Candy: Peanut M&Ms, Cherry Lifesavers, Starburst Pink & Red Mix
Animal: Dog
Flowers: Tulips and Roses

Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead, and I can’t wait to embark on this adventure with all of you!
