I am so excited about beginning our second grade year.  This is my 28th year of teaching.  I have taught 5th, 1st, 3rd, as well as Kindergarten in previous years. There isn't a grade/age I don't enjoy!  I received my undergraduate degree from Baylor University and received my Master's from University of North Texas specializing in gifted/talented. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 8th grade.  I had the unique privilege of doing part of my student teaching in Australia.  It was an amazing and very memorable experience. .  

My family consists of my son Drake(21) and my daughter Claire(19).  Both of my babies are in college and thriving at their schools.  Drake is a Construction Engineer major and Claire is majoring in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Analytics. Luckily, I have my students at school to help me through the empty-nesting stage.  We also have 2 cuddle magnet puppies, Shadow(8) and Gracie(8), that pretty much rule the house.  When I am not working, you can find me supporting my kids and their friends at all of their activities, volunteering around the community, and spending quality time with my family and/or friends.  I grew up right here in Plano.  Most of my family still lives here as well!
