Ms. Gwen Baumann

Teacher

Gwen Baumann serves as the campus PACE (Gifted and Talented) coordinator and teaches PACE social studies at Hendrick:

  • 6th grade: Cultural Geography, Foundations, Diffusion

  • 7th grade: Texas History (Geography and American Indians, European Colonization, Revolution and Republic)

  • 8th grade: U.S. History from Colonial Period through Reconstruction

In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Baumann advises the student staff of the Hendrick Yearbook, The Talon, and sponsors the school’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.

As the department chair for the social studies department, Ms. Baumann brings extensive experience and dedication to her role, having been a member of the Plano ISD community (Wells Elementary, Renner Middle School, Guinn Special Programs Center, Hendrick) since 2001.

She has served as an elected representative on the Plano ISD District Based Improvement Committee since 2023.
