• I have been blessed this year to be a full-time Dyslexia Specialist on our Hendrick campus. This means I have the opportunity to work with our staff, students, and families to help support success and confidence. I facilitate the multisensory lessons within Scottish Rite's Take Flight and Reading Horizons programs for our identified dyslexic students. Our multisensory language therapy programs allow our dyslexic students to open the doors to the world of reading and comprehension. I have been teaching since 2008 in both the public and private school sectors.

  • Homework is a vital part of our multisensory, daily reinforcement. It provides time to practice these skills learned in class a second time for repetition and the growth of automaticity. Homework should only take a few minutes a day.
