2022-2023 Funding and Partnership Opportunities
The Plano ISD Education Foundation was established in 1993, with the mission to help all students in the Plano Independent School District achieve their full potential by providing financial support benefitting students and teachers.
Funding provided by the Foundation supports differentiated and elevated programs and curriculum that are not required by the state, nor are they funded by tax dollars. These programs support Plano ISD’s Five Strategic Pillars by providing unique opportunities to help students find their passion and purpose, prepare for, and significantly impact their future. Plano ISD strives to do more than status quo for our amazing students. As part of the community, they want to respond to the needs within the workforce and shape the learning experience at every stage of their educational experience so that Plano ISD is graduating students that are better prepared for the careers of tomorrow.
You can help make a difference.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)
AVID Elementary helps students develop academic habits they will need to be successful in middle school, high school, college and career. Students learn about organization, study skills, communication and self-advocacy in an age-appropriate and challenging way. AVID Elementary campuses create a strong college-going culture encouraging students to think about their college and career plans. Plano ISD has 24 AVID elementary campuses serving approximately 4800 students. AVID Elementary takes aschool-wide approach, by implementing with all fourth and fifth grade students at a campus. The AVID Elective is the cornerstone of the secondary AVID program. The AVID Elective focuses on rigorous academic preparation, student agency and opportunity knowledge to prepare students for success in high school, college, and a career, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Plano ISD has 22 secondary AVID campuses and serves approximately 3000 in the elective.

Examples of employee emergencies include: rent, car repairs, childcare, utility bills, and medical services not covered by insurance. A committee of district employees, facilitated by the PISD Benefits and Risk Management Department, confidentially examines employee requests for assistance and selects Employee Crisis Fund recipients on behalf of the Foundation.
