Dear Bethany families and community members,                                                           

Thanks for your interest in Bethany Elementary -- it's a great campus! I am honored to work as the principal and interact daily with so many incredible students, parents, and a fantastic staff.  As a Plano ISD graduate who attended Plano schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade, I was fortunate to learn from outstanding Plano educators and community members. After graduating college in 1994, I returned to Plano and began my educational career as a fifth grade teacher. One of the greatest blessings of working in a district like PISD is the diversity it offers to families and employees. Since joining the district, I have worked as a teacher at Weatherford Elementary, Carlisle Elementary, and Barron Elementary. At the beginning of the 1998-1999 school year, I was provided an opportunity to work at Miller Elementary as an assistant principal. In January, 2000, the district appointed me as the principal of Dooley Elementary. After a wonderful five years at Dooley, I was blessed to continue working with incredible students, families, and staff as the principal of Meadows Elementary beginning the 2005-2006 school year.  At the start of the 2011-2012 school year, once again the district provided me an opportunity for change and the chance to join the students, community, and staff as the principal of Bethany Elementary.  Working as part of the Bethany family has been a wonderful experience!

Bethany has a tremendous history of meeting the needs of all learners. The students are blessed to be a part of a school community with a strong and active PTA. Parents share their strengths and time to support student learning. As a campus, we are very fortunate to have an incredible group of teachers who are committed to student learning. Most importantly, we have students who come to school with a desire to learn and actively participate in their own growth. Parents, teachers, community members, and students work together to ensure that students are provided every opportunity to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
