Dr. Susan Lafayette

Previously, I was a practicing Obstetrician/ Gynecologist; now, I'm a full time teacher at the Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy.

Classes at Williams HS: dual credit Medical Terminology and Pathophysiology, in conjunction with Collin College

             Principles of Biomedical Science, a project-based class from Project Lead The Way curriculums.

Education: Bachelor of Science & Medical Doctorate from Northwestern University 

                post-doctoral Ob/Gyn training at UT Southwestern/ Parkland Hospital

Family: married to Dr. Charles Dunlap (pediatrician)

           proud mom of: Caroline Dunlap, special ed teacher at San Marcos High School (PESH/ IB 2019, Tx State BSE, 2022)

                         and:   Chris Dunlap, a senior at Purdue university (PWSH 2021). He studies environmental & ecological engineering, and is principal French horn for the Purdue philharmonic orchestra.

           dog mom to: Jake, a mini Aussie shepherd, who loves sleeping all day on the couch.
