Ms. Adriana Hire

I was born in Mexico and moved to the US in my teens. In my early twenties, I relocated to Colorado, where our children grew up. This marks my 31st year in education. I have taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, served as an assistant principal, worked as a pre-college program executive director, been an instructional coach for an IB international school in Quito, Ecuador, and founded and directed a bilingual school in Colorado.

After 16 years in school administration, my husband Greg and I moved to Dallas, TX, to be closer to our grandkids who live in Richardson. (Our son lives in NYC). Upon returning stateside, I decided to get back into the classroom, and I have loved this decision as nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing the light go on in my students' faces. For the past three years, I've been teaching 4th grade math. - We enjoy living in Dallas, though we escape to colder weather during the summer. I am thrilled to join Mitchell Elementary and look forward to making a positive impact on my students' lives and forming dear and lasting friendships with the staff.
Fun fact: My husband and I love traveling and have visited over 30 different countries.
