Mrs. Parker

I am so honored and blessed to be part of the Carlisle family for four years now! This is my eighth year as a teacher in the amazing Plano Independent School District, in which I previously taught special education resource and multisensory instruction. When I was an elementary-aged student myself, I was identified as a student with dyslexia, so I personally understand the lifelong impact that positive support and instruction can have on individuals with dyslexia. This is why I am thrilled to be back for another year as the Dyslexia Support Teacher!

As a Dyslexia Support Teacher on our campus, I work with our students, staff, and, parents each day to help foster student success. My main role as a language specialist is to implement Scottish Rite's Take Flight program for our students identified with dyslexia. Take Flight is a language therapy program that helps dyslexic students crack the code in reading. I also have the privilege of providing intervention to students identified with dysgraphia, as well as providing other amazing multisensory interventions such as Reading Horizons!

Thanks to the support of PISD, and the wonderful Coyote staff and community, I am very much looking forward to another meaningful and impactful school year! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child.

"The most important thing, in anything you do, is always trying your hardest, because even if you try your hardest and it's not as good as you'd hoped, you still have that sense of not letting yourself down.” –Tom Holland
