Mrs. Urcuyo grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, where she graduated from the University of Iowa.  She taught in Arizona and Florida before settling in Plano with her husband.  She has been at Carlisle Elementary since 2007.  She is currently a fifth grade teacher but she has also taught second and first grades.  She has three adult children.  She loves to spend her free time exercising, working in the yard, cooking and reading.
