Hello Bowman Raiders,

My name is Prachi Chopra, and I am so excited to be a part of the Bowman family this year. This is my second year teaching at Plano ISD and my first year at Bowman. I was born and raised in India and moved to the United States in 2012.

I have a Masters degree in Biotechnology from the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) and a Masters degree in Bioinformatics from Banasthali University.

After graduating from UT Dallas, I taught biology to undergraduates at Collin and Dallas County Community Colleges as an adjunct professor.

I believe science is not just a subject to be studied but a way of thinking and understanding the world. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

I live in Plano with my husband and two wonderful children.

Outside of the classroom, I love cooking, trying new recipes, and spending time with my family.
