I am excited to be a new Assistant Principal here at Bowman Middle School. I currently serve as the principal for 8^th grade and the 1st half of the alphabet for 6^th grade. Prior to joining Plano ISD I served in various roles in Henderson ISD. I have been an Assistant Principal at the high school level, a Teacher Specialist supporting the improvement of classroom instruction for all students, and the Secondary Gifted and Talented Specialist. I taught English for 15 years at Duncanville HS before leaving the classroom to become a Gifted and Talented Specialist. I began my teaching career in Henderson ISD as an ESL teacher and 8^th grade English teacher.  

I am a Texas native and though I have visited other places no other place feels like home. I have a husband who is also in education as well as two sons who have graduated from college and are thriving in their adult lives. I love teaching and cannot imagine working in any other industry. I find joy in the little moments I get to share with teachers, students and families when we find a connection. 

I spend my free time reading and crafting and being a homebody. If there is ever anything I can do to help, please let me know.
