  • IB PYP - What's That?

    The International Baccalaureate (IB) World School at Huffman Elementary Primary Years Programme (PYP) fosters the development of knowledgeable, principled and internationally minded citizens. The IB PYP focuses on the whole child, develops effective approaches to teaching and learning, works to increase an understanding of languages and culture, and explores globally significant ideas and issues. Our scholars approach the world with an open mind and aspire to understand the different perspectives and ideas of others, while helping to create a more peaceful world.

    Plano ISD's First Choice Elementary School

    The IB World School at Huffman is Plano ISD's first choice elementary school.  While students who attend Huffman are within the Huffman attendance boundaries, each year in the spring, we open up a lottery registration for all students who live in the Plano ISD boundaries kindergarten through 5th grade. Students from all over PISD attend our school.  For more information on the Primary Years Program, visit IB PYP or ibo.org.

  • Registration Dates and Information

    Registration for the lottery to attend The IB World School at Huffman for the 2025-2026 school year is opening October 21.  This registration is for kindergarten through 5th grade.

    Lottery Information

    Parent notification of lottery status: November 22, 2024

    Attention

    If you live in the Huffman attendance zone you do not have to go through the lottery registration process. Visit Plano ISD's enrollment site to find out about regular Plano ISD registration.

    If your child is entering Pre-kindergarten, you will not register for Huffman's Pre-k program during this time.  Visit the district's early childhood site for more information.

  • Title 1 Information

    Important Title I documents, including the Campus Improvement Plan, school parent engagement policy, school-parent compact, notice of qualifications can found on the campus website.  Hard copies are located in the school office.

    • Head Start Round Up: Week of January 27, 2025
    • New Student Enrollment (Pre-K – 12th grade): Begins March 24, 2025
    • Inter-district Transfers: April 21, 2025 - June 24, 2025

  • Pre-Registration for Exploration and Plano Visual Arts Academy Is Now Open

    Please visit our summer school website for directions on how to pre-register your child for the Exploration or Plano Visual Arts Academy. If you do not pre-register your child now you will not be able to register them in courses beginning March 24.

    Our Plano ISD enrichment programs provide an innovative learning experience and are open to students in grades 1-7. 

    Students can choose from a list of courses that includes:

    • Humanities
    • Science
    • Mathematics
    • Social Sciences
    • Fine Arts
    • Computer Science
    • Engineering
