College and Degrees: Southern Methodist University, Bachelor of Arts

Teaching History: I taught for 13 years in Garland ISD, 5 in pre-k and 8 in Kindergarten. This is my 3^rd year in Plano ISD and in 1st grade!

Family: My husband, Chris, and I have been married for 19 years and have 2 wonderful children. Lyla is 16, and Eli is 12.

Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: I love to volunteer for my kids' activities. I also love to watch movies and bake in my spare time.

Why did you want to start the IB PYP at Huffman?  I love the community of the IB PYP at Huffman. I believe the approaches to learning and character traits help create life-long learners and thinkers.
