Ms. Sarah Tirmenstein, Counselor
College(s): I went Baylor University and received my bachelor’s in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Gifted and Talented Education. I have two master’s degrees, one from Baylor in Educational Psychology, and one from Amberton University in School Counseling.
Education History: This will be my seventh year in education. I taught 4th grade for 1 year and 5th grade for 5 years.
Family: My mom, Gran, boyfriend, and my cat, Tiramisu, are my favorite people. I also recently became Godmother to my best friend’s daughter!
Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: During my free time, I enjoy crafting, reading, baking, being outside, shopping, trying new restaurants, watching Baylor Bear’s football, and spending time with my friends, family, and cat.
Why did you want to start the IB PYP at Huffman?
I love that the IB PYP program teaches learners so many critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I believe that teaching students to be open-minded and world-focused creates caring people who strive to be lifelong learners.
