Art is important for the creative enhancement of children's imagination. Art helps cognitive functioning by creating projects that require fine motor and tactile processing.

The Art Department at Hickey focuses on Art history as a precursor to developing an understanding of expression and creativity. Students are exposed to a variety of artists, one month at a time, to inspire them while creating their own works of art.
