I was born in Dallas, Texas and went to Texas Tech University. After graduation I worked at Children’s Hospital in Dallas and developed a love for children with intellectual disabilities. Soon after, I worked for a non-profit that helps young adults with disabilities attain life skills as an Educational Specialist. Later I began teaching at Wylie ISD for three years then here in Plano for the last thirteen years. I love being a teacher in the ELC and seeing my students grow and love teaching in Plano.  I am also a mom to a smart beautiful girl named Adelaide and a boy named William who is equally smart and is medically complex.
