My name is Maria Flores and I am the Special Education Bilingual teacher and Co-Team Leader of Special Education at Hickey Elementary.  I have taught Kindergarten through fifth grade as a Bilingual Instructional Coach in previous years here at Hickey.  I was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  I moved here when I was fifteen years old. I received my degree from Texas A & M Commerce University with a bilingual certification.  I am married and I have a daughter and a son who keep me busy.  My daughter is a Sophomore at McMillen HS, my son is in third grade and attends his home campus in McKinney. Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of work are spending time with my family, baking, cooking, doing crafts for home or school, and reading.
