I grew up in Plano (not far from Hickey) and graduated from Plano East Senior High.  Graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University, I received my degree in Elementary Education.  I began teaching second grade at Barron Elementary, which is where I also attended school as a student!  I love this area of Plano.  A few years into teaching, I received my Master's degree from the University of North Texas with an emphasis on Gifted and Talented.  After 11 years of teaching second grade, I became the PACE Specialist at Hickey in 2010.  It is so much fun working with students from every grade level.  During the summers I enjoy traveling.  I’ve been to Brazil, Mexico, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Kenya, Greece and Israel.  Ask me about my adventures!  To learn more about the P.A.C.E. program, please visit the PISD Gifted Education / PACE website.
