I am a 6^th grade Social Studies teacher here at Bowman. This is my first year teaching in middle school. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Spanish from Texas State University. After I graduated with my Bachelor’s, I decided to stay at Texas State to pursue a Master’s Degree in History. As I worked on my Master’s, I worked as an Instructional Assistant for undergraduate history classes. I also completed a Master’s thesis on early Latin American history.

I love working with students to grow the skills they need for success in their academic careers. I was a PISD student myself, and I am so happy to give back to the district that set me up so well. Throughout the year, I hope I can send every student home with some history fun facts and strong study skills to carry into the rest of their academic careers!
