PACE is a gifted enrichment program for students who have demonstrated the need for advanced instruction. At the elementary level, PACE is a weekly pull out program in which students are removed from the general education classroom to work under the guidance of a gifted specialist. The time spent in the PACE program varies according to the grade level of the student. Students are assessed to determine the need for the PACE program. The date for submission of referrals is published at the beginning of the school year and can be found via school news and campus/district websites.Students may be referred for gifted services by teachers, parents, principals, counselors, or by the students themselves.
Visit PISD Gifted/PACE for more detailed information about the PACE program. Online referral forms will be available at this site starting on the first day of school.
