Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Patty Gobin
My name is Patty Gobin and I am thrilled to be a part of the Stinson community! I earned a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University in elementary education and a Master's degree from UNT in counseling. I enjoyed teaching and counseling in a neighboring district for over 30 years. The best part of my job is knowing children and families and working together so their son or daughter has the absolute best learning experience while on our campus. The staff at Stinson are phenomenal and working alongside them is a real pleasure.
I work with all students through classroom guidance lessons in each grade level every other week. One of my favorite words to use with children is unique. I feel we are all given different abilities and talents and helping the students recognize their particular strengths helps them develop confidence moving forward. Some of the topics we cover are problem-solving, self-regulation, friendship, social skills, bullying prevention, responsibility, goal-setting, safety and drug awareness, college/career readiness (CCMR) and more. Lessons are age-appropriate and highly engaging, so each student can be an active participant as we learn together. I also offer small group support and am available to work with individual students as a support and to encourage them as they navigate their day at school.
Please feel free to contact me and I welcome getting to know each of you.
