It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal here at Armstrong Middle School. Relationships are the backbone of a strong community, and I am eager to build relationships and support the building of an even stronger foundation and community here at Armstrong.
A little bit about me: I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, but moved to Queens, NY shortly after and grew up mostly in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing my undergraduate degree in English and Secondary Education from Queens College in NY and teaching English at a middle school in Brooklyn, I moved to Dallas and became a Texan! My Graduate Degree is in Education Leadership & Policy from SMU, where I also completed my administrator’s certification. I have held various roles in Education, teaching English from 5th-12th grade AP Literature, being an IB Middle Years Program Coordinator, and high school administrator/teacher in Garland. I came to Plano ISD last year by joining Shepton High School, and am so excited to now join Armstrong as the Assistant Principal. I am a proud mom to my daughter Zunaira, who is 10 and a student of Plano ISD schools, and I speak Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, and German.
I look forward to bringing my diverse experience and background to be of service to the Armstrong family. I am eager to get to know each and every one of you: please feel free to reach out to me via phone or email to introduce yourself or stop by and say hello! I can’t wait to partner with you to make Armstrong the best place possible for our kids!
