Using different mediums and principles of design the students learn to express their imagination in creative and artful ways. In Art 2D, students create two-dimensional artwork through drawing, color studies, painting, printmaking and computer manipulated designs. In Art 3D, students create three-dimensional art pieces such as sculpture, ceramics and subtractive sculpture. To take Advanced Art, students must have successfully completed either Art 2D or 3D. The Advanced Art course provides students the opportunity to work with a larger variety of materials and develop a portfolio which prepares them for Pre-AP Art I offered in high school.
