  • Armstrong Tigers - 

    The 2020-2021 School Report Cards for Armstrong Middle School have now been released, and posted to the Armstrong Middle School website: https://www.pisd.edu/armstrong_ar 

    The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. The information contained in the School Report Card is described in the 'School Report Card Definitions.'

    The Federal Report Card is also available at: 2020-21 Federal Report Cards

    El reporte proporciona información sobre el rendimiento de los estudiantes en la prueba STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) que es el nombre del programa de evaluación académica para los estudiantes en las escuelas públicas de Texas, así como información sobre estudiantes inscritos, tamaño promedio de la clase y gastos financieros.   • Attendance Policy Reminders

    Please note that simply calling in does not excuse your absence. A note needs to be submitted to Ms. Molly Wong in the front office within 3 days of the absence. Absence notes, doctor and dental notes MUST be turned into the front office, even if you called the absence in, it has to be followed up with an absence note. We can accept absence notes via email.

     

    Absence notes must include :

    · Student’s first and last name

    · Student id #

    · Date of absence

    · Reason for absence

    · Parent signature

  • Armstrong + North Texas Food Bank

    Armstrong is thrilled to offer a school pantry program in partnership with the North Texas Food Bank. Families will receive 15 pounds of fresh produce and 20 pounds of shelf stable items such as pasta, pasta sauce, tuna, vegetables, rice, beans, and cereal - ALL FOR FREE! Produce and dry goods are given on a first come, first serve basis. No enrollment or application is necessary!

    The AMS School Pantry distribution will take place once a month on Tuesday’s directly after dismissal at 4:00 PM in the bus circle at the back of the building (north side). Buses depart at 3:40, so you will be able to park along the bus circle and wait for a volunteer to bring the goods to your car.

    The AMS School Pantry is only available to Armstrong families, and a parent or guardian of the AMS student must be present to take advantage of this great opportunity. The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit relief organization which leads the fight against hunger with knowledge-based strategies to distribute donated, purchased, and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. NTFB supports the nutritional needs of children, families, and seniors through education, advocacy, and strategic partnerships.

  • Boxtops for Education has gone digital!

    Every year we earn money for our school collecting Box Tops. You can still CLIP the Box Tops and turn them in however, Box Tops has also gone digital!  How does it work?

    *Download the APP to your smartphone or other device.
    *Open the app.
    *Sign up.
    *Find your school (580072)
    *Complete the profile.
    *Scan your receipt.

    IT'S THAT SIMPLE! Remember to keep bringing in the Box Tops that you are still able to clip.

  • Plano ISD Board of Trustees Approves 2022-23 Compensation Plan

    The Plano ISD Board of Trustees approved a new employee compensation plan for the 2022-2023 school year that includes a pay increase for all employees, increased starting teacher pay, increased district contribution for health insurance and other strategic pay adjustments. Read full story.

  • Free Meals Waiver Ends 

    The United States Department of Agriculture waiver that allowed Plano ISD to provide free meals to all students during the 2021-22 school year is set to expire at the end of this school year. Plano ISD will resume charging for meals during the 2022-23 school year based on student eligibility for meal benefits. Families who may qualify are encouraged to complete a federal meal application for free and reduced-price meals. The 2021-22 meal application will be honored for the first 30 days of the 2022-23 school year. The 2022-23 meal application will be available after July 1, 2022. Read more.

  • Families Are Asked to Complete Intent to Return Form

    In order to help campuses schedule classes and staff appropriately for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year, families are asked to complete an Intent to Return Form online. Please complete the form as soon as possible since planning for the upcoming school year is already underway. If your family does not plan to return, we ask that you complete the Intent to Return form as well since that information also helps with planning.

  • Pre-K Online Enrollment Is Now Open

    PreK is now enrolling students for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. To enter preK, students must be four years old by September 1 and meet at least one of the eligibility requirements. Enroll via the district's online enrollment page.

  • New Student Enrollment for 2022-2023 School Year

    Online enrollment for new students to Plano ISD begins on March 21. Enrollment is for the 2022-2023 school year and is for all grade levels, except preK, which begins registration on April 4. Visit our enrollment pageStudents currently in the district should not enroll. Annual registration for existing students occurs in the summer through Parent Portal.

  • Superintendent Sara Bonser Announces Retirement

    After 33 years of service in public education (25 of those years in Plano ISD), Superintendent Sara Bonser informed the Plano ISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday, January 25, that she will retire as superintendent at the end of this school year in order to spend more time with family at a critical time.
