Mrs. Turnbull was born and raised in Voorhies, Iowa.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, where she also played basketball and soccer.   After teaching one year of sixth grade in Iowa, she left for warmer weather in Texas.  This is her 17th year in Plano ISD and 15th year at Hughston Elementary as the fifth grade team leader.  She loves spending time with her husband, Andrew, and her fur baby, Gatti (dog).  In her free time, she loves to travel to the lake in northern Minnesota, and watch football.  She's a huge IOWA HAWKEYES fan!
