Hey there! I am Mrs. C, the new Elevate teacher here at Wilson, and I couldn't be more excited to be a Ram! I have served in Special Education as a para-educator for five years; this is my first year as a teacher. I have worked in many different types both inclusion/resource and structured classrooms. I am currently finishing my degree at Indiana Wesleyan, but I am a Texas Tech Red Raider at heart. I live with my husband (Mr. Kurdi at Clark HS), two dogs, and a tiny kitten! We love it here, and can't wait to spend many more years in this district. In my free time, I love to take photos, draw, paint, and create all types of art (and watch Friends for the 300th time). I am also the HOPE teacher at Wilson, which is a program allowing high-achieving and compassionate students to assist in the Elevate classroom as peer mentors. Looking forward to an amazing year!
P.S. If you were wondering, my last name is pronounced "chess - key" but I go by Mrs. C to make it easy on the kids (and adults too).
