Hello! I’m Drew Obert, and I’m excited about being the 7th grade counselor this year. This is my 14th year in education, and I have been fortunate to work with 6th-12th graders as either a teacher or counselor since 2011. I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and later attended the University of Oklahoma (Go Sooners!!) to earn my BS in Education. I then earned my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lamar University shortly thereafter. I'm proud to be an educator and love serving our community. I enjoy traveling, running, tennis, college football, video games, anime/manga, and movies. I also love spending time with my wonderful spouse, parents, friends, and pets.
My role as a school counselor is to support students' academic, career, and personal/social development. We provide individual and group counseling, deliver classroom lessons, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a positive school environment. Our aim is to help students overcome obstacles to learning, develop essential life skills, and achieve their full potential.
I'm here to help, so don't hesitate to reach out!
