B.F.A in Theatre with Teacher Certification All-Levels and a minor in Business Administration from Texas State University
Ms. Dobrott is a theatre educator passionate about inspiring students to live life creatively. She graduated from Texas State University, receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre with Teacher Certification All- levels along with a minor in Business Administration. Each semester Ms. Dobrott earned grades that placed her on the Dean's List and was inducted into Counsel of Scholars for the department of Theatre and Dance. Ms. Dobrott was actively involved in a co-ed theatre fraternity, Alpha Psi Omega, which supported the Theatre Department at Texas State University. She served on the officer team of the fraternity as the Secretary and President and produced a twenty-four-hour play festival of student written work, organized volunteers, and served as a recruiter for the department. She also served on the Theatre Teacher Certification Leadership team where she planned professional development workshops and other activities to support her peers as they pursued their degree in Theatre Education.
Ms. Dobrott completed her student teaching in Comal ISD where she taught at Pieper High School and Spring Branch Middle School. At each school, she fully took over the classroom and taught lessons as well as conducted rehearsals. During her time in Comal ISD, Ms, Dobrott had the privilege to volunteer and help run the Middle School One Act Play competition, direct The Book of Everything alongside Jill Ripa to take students to 4A UIL One-Act play competition, and the honor to receive the New Braunfels Retired Teachers Scholarship in recognition of her hard work and dedication to students in the greater New Braunfels Area.
Ms. Dobrott is passionate about helping students take that next step in pursuing their dreams. She believes that through Theatre students have an opportunity to learn life skills which will transfer with them wherever life takes them beyond the classroom.
