Hello!
I teach the Bee class! This class is three and four year old students that are deaf and hard of hearing, as part of Plano ISD’s Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD). My classroom is a Total Communication (TC) Classroom, this means that I am using Signing Exact English, American Sign Language, and Spoken Language throughout the school day.
I have two deaf siblings and both my parents have been teachers of the deaf, so I have been working with and around this population for a long time. This is my fourth-year teaching, and is my third year in the preschool classroom. I look forward to collaborating with the families of my students and building relationships with the students in my classroom!
I am married and am expecting our first child in December! I love being outside, hiking, camping, and visiting National Parks (I have been to 47 of them!). I love trying new things and listening to stories!. I am so excited for this year!
