WELCOME TO THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
DAVIS ELEMENTARY
ONE TEAM
ONE GOAL
TOGETHER WE GROW
WE ARE PISD
It is with a mix of emotions that as we prepare for the upcoming school year, we know Davis Elementary will be closing its doors at the end of this academic year. This decision was not made lightly, and it reflects the challenges we face in our community.
For over fifty years, Davis has been more than just a place of learning; it has been a second home where friendships were forged, dreams were nurtured, and countless memories were created. Together, we have built a strong, supportive, and vibrant community that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
While this news may be difficult to process, I want to assure you that our commitment to your children’s education and well-being remains unwavering. We will continue to provide the highest quality of education and support throughout this transitional period. At Davis Elementary, our mission is to ensure all students learn at high levels. It is my belief that the school setting should be a compassionate environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, teaching and learning are priorities, community connections are strong, and students grow socially and academically in a safe and secure learning environment.
Our students are the heart and soul of Davis Elementary. Their resilience, creativity, and kindness have always inspired us.
To our parents and guardians: Your partnership and trust have been invaluable. We are deeply grateful for your support and dedication to your children’s education.
Our incredible staff’s unwavering dedication, passion, commitment and love for our students has created a warm and welcoming place of excellence.
In the coming weeks and months, we will be sharing more information and resources to help guide you through this transition. We will also be organizing events to celebrate the wonderful legacy of Davis Elementary and to honor the memories we have made together. More information can be found here.
I am honored to serve the Davis community, and I am fortunate to be working with a dynamic staff, dedicated parents and involved community members. Most of all, I am eager to be in leadership of providing outstanding educational opportunities and academic excellence for all students. This is my eighth year at Davis Elementary, 17th year in Plano ISD and 26th year in public education. I love reading, meeting new people, serving in the community, the beach and taking road trips with my family. I am blessed to be the mother of two “kidults”, Zachary, and Molly, and “MiMi” to Madison.
I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting those new to the Davis family. We hope you visit us often. Together, I know we will make this school year one of memories, growth and achievement for all students.
Thank you for being part of our dolphin family. Let’s cherish the time we have left together and look forward to the future with hope and optimism.
Once a dolphin always a dolphin.
