I'm Teresa Marquez de la Plata, Special Education Resource Teacher.  I attended Stephen F. Austin State University, earning a degree in Elementary Education.  I am certified in special education and reading.   I have been teaching for nearly 20 years and half of them in Plano ISD.  I am married with two kiddos.  My husband, Carlos, is amazing and I couldn't ask for a better partner in this crazy life!  Our son, Cooper, attended Plano West HS and is off to college this fall in Chicago where he will play baseball at Dominican University.  Our daughter, Maya, is a sophomore at Shepton HS and is currently the captain of the Sapphires drill team.  We have a toy poodle, Marci, who keeps us on our toes!  When I am not teaching at Davis, you might find me at a Shepton football game, dance competition, Chicago, walking Marci, the beach, Starbucks, or relaxing at home.  I am thrilled to be at Davis and feel so blessed to be a part of this last year for Davis.
