H. Wayne Hendrick
Plano ISD Superintendent of Schools 1961-1991Hendrick Middle School was named for a man who made tremendous contributions to Plano Independent School District, as well as the community at large. Dr. Hendrick began his career in education as a high school math teacher before becoming Superintendent of PISD. His tenure took the district through a time of rapid growth and development, starting with only three schools and ending with 45. Much of the acclaim PISD has achieved over the years can be attributed to his outstanding leadership and guidance as superintendent. Dr. Hendrick always believed, "Let's be the best we can be!"
