Step 3: Apply for the program that meets your interests!
The Academy Programs of Plano application opens on October 21, 2024 at 9 am and closes on November 19, 2024 at 5 pm. When you are ready to apply, click on the application link in the 2025-26 Application Portal located on the right side of this site (look for the green box).

2025-2026 Application PortalThe application portal for the 2025-2026 school year will be available beginning October 21, 2024 at 9:00 AM and will close at 5:00 PM on November 19, 2024.

The Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy offers a rigorous academic program that prepares students for the demands of a four-year university and offers career-specific training with industry certifications. Opportunities include college credit, technical certificates, hands-on experience and mentorship from healthcare professionals. Update: The class of 2027 (current 10th graders) will be the last Industries Academy class due to the opening of the CTE Center in the 2026-27 school year.
Industries Academy
Plano ISD, in partnership with Collin College, offers a variety of workforce dual credit instruction focusing on high-demand and high-wage career fields. This two-year program begins junior year of high school and continues through senior year of high school, providing students with career-specific training and industry certifications. website | video

TONI&GUY Cosmetology Program
TONI&GUY Cosmetology Program
The Plano ISD TONI&GUY Cosmetology Program is a two-year program open to incoming juniors located at the TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy. Students selected by lottery will enroll in 11th grade to begin 1,000 clock hours of theory, technical instruction, and practical operations working toward the goal of earning a Texas Cosmetology License as a graduating senior.
