My name is Michelle Klena, your 8th grade counselor. I am very excited about being a part of this amazing Schimelpfenig community.

I have been an educator for twenty-eight years. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade and have been an Elementary counselor for fourteen years. This is my fifth year as a secondary counselor and I am looking forward to continuing to work with your children. It is my goal this year to encourage and support our students in setting personal and academic goals so that they can be successful in school. 

My education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University with a special endorsement in Learning Disabilities. A Masters of Education from Texas Women’s University in Counseling.

I am married and have three beautiful daughters. All three of my daughters are former students that attended Schimelpfenig, all have graduated from college and are gainfully employed! 

Along with my passion for counseling, I enjoy jogging, reading and spending time with my wonderful family.
