Greetings from Schimelpfenig MS-Home of the PANTHERS!!

I currently serve as an  Assistant Principal at Schimelpfenig Middle School, Plano ISD. I was born and raised in the great diverse military town of Killeen, Texas (Ft. Hood)!! I came from a household rich in community building, life-long learning, embracing life/celebrations and advancing personal development!

Prior to Schimelpfenig Middle School, I served as an Administrative Intern and then moved into the role of Assistant Principal at Robinson Middle School, Plano ISD. Before joining the PISD family, I taught English in Coppell ISD at Coppell Middle School West for 5 years. With 20 plus years in education, the majority in middle school, it is my privilege to assist in supporting, molding, and inspiring students each day to put their best foot forward despite challenges!

My educational background consists of a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in English, from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas (HOME of my favorite Lumberjacks), a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas (THEE Mean Green); in Denton and lastly in May of 2023, I obtained my PhD in Curriculum Studies/Instruction, again from THEE Mean Green, May of 2023!!! I am here to serve as the #1 coach, cheerleader, and supporter for students, staff, and families on our journey to educational excellence and personal growth and development!
