Jennifer Ferro

My name is Jennifer Ferro and I am the Educational Diagnostician assigned to Schimelpfenig Middle School. I have been part of the Panther family since 2016. I have worked in education my entire career, first as a general education teacher, then as a school psychologist, and lastly as an educational diagnostician.

I graduated Cornell University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I continued my studies at City of New York-Brooklyn College, where I got a Master's Degree in School Psychology, while working as a teacher in the New York City public school system. In 2010, my husband and I decided to leave New York and move to the great state of Texas. I continued my career working as an Educational Diagnostician for Lewisville ISD, before taking a position with Plano ISD in 2014. Everyday I am so thankful that I get to work with the wonderful students and staff of Plano ISD! Plano schools deserve their amazing reputation, and the special education programming and supports Plano offers is second to none.

I am dedicated to conducting quality evaluations, and making well-thought-out recommendations that will help school staff working with your student.   If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
