- About Me
Mrs. Melanie Humenesky
I was born and raised in Northern California went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for college and Point Loma University for nursing school. I been working as a nurse for 20+ yrs. After started my nursing career in San Diego, I then moved to San Francisco and eventually ending up in Texas. I worked for 18 years in neuro, cardiac, and medical ICU’s before making a huge switch into school nursing. I am loving my time at Schimelpfenig, and have had such a great time getting to know the students and families.
I have three children that have come up through PISD; one at West, one at Shepton, and my last one is here at Schim. We also have 2 beautiful puppies and one baby cat. I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, and spend lots of time watching my kids play sports, specifically soccer, swimming, and volleyball.
