Plano ISD is implementing a new volunteer management system for the 2020-2021 school year. In order to facilitate a smooth transition, all 2019-2020 volunteer records will remain active until August 31, 2020, instead of being deactivated on June 30, 2020 per standard practice. Volunteers will need to reapply in the new system prior to August 31 when their profile will be deactivated in the old system. The new system will be available on this site in August, and any new volunteers wanting to apply will be able to do so at that time. Thank you so much for your patience as we transition to a new volunteer management system in order to improve the experience for our volunteers who are valued partners in student success. We greatly appreciate your willingness to invest your time and efforts into supporting Plano ISD students, families and staff.
Plano ISD seeks to create a safe place for students, free from crime, violence, drugs and abuse. As required by the Texas Education Code, Plano ISD conducts criminal history record checks through the Texas Department of Public Safety on all volunteers, including but not limited to general campus volunteers, camp counselors, field trip sponsors, mentors and tutors. By completing the volunteer application process you consent to Plano ISD’s obtaining your criminal history record information as provided by law.
The 2020-2021 volunteer application will be available in August. All 2019-2020 volunteers will remain active until August 31. Returning volunteers along with new volunteers will complete the new application when it is available.
