  • TEA Dyslexia Professional Learning Course

    Dyslexia: A TEA professional learning course

    This course is designed for all school and district staff members across the state who serve students in kindergarten through grade 12. A participant handbook is provided to guide learning. Participants will receive 6 CPE credits for completion of the course, which can be uploaded into PowerSchool as an Out of District Activity. You can sign up at https://register.tealearn.com/courses/tea-dyslexia.

  • Mental Health and Wellness Webinars

    This last year has been one of most challenging years of our lives. These challenges add stress to our lives and take a toll on our mental health and wellness. Join ComPsych in partnership with the Plano ISD Employee Assistance Program for monthly webinars covering topics like gratitude, empathy, resilience, and mindfulness.

  • Spotlight Series for First- and Second-Year Teachers

    The Spotlight Series of one-hour monthly sessions is designed as an informal opportunity for first- and second-year teachers to become acquainted with the array of supports available in PISD. Each session will spotlight a different area of the district and will include some learning, an opportunity to meet district personnel who can support you in your role, and chances to connect with other new teachers. Attendance is not mandatory, but Trade Credit will be awarded. Join us for these fun, informative sessions designed with your needs in mind.

    Sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 (Elementary) or 4:30-5:30 (Secondary). Sign up for sessions on Power School at this link

    Office Professional Techie Thursday

    Techie Third Thursdays are technology-based learning opportunities for Office Professionals to assist with the current virtual environment that will take place online every Third Thursday 9 AM-10 AM.

  • Campus Administrator PL Opportunities

    PL from ARPE - Optional Campus Administrator Lab Sessions

    The Assessment, Research, and Program Evaluation department is offering optional Lab Sessions for Principals and Administrators. These sessions will be offered virtually and will be hands-on to allow Principals the time to dig into the specific data sources that are available at that particular time of year. Principals will be given the tools to facilitate in-depth data analysis of specific data sources with their own staff.

    Results Coaching for Assistant Principals and Principals

    Coaching is an incredibly powerful way for educational leaders to make an immediate, significant impact in the schools that they lead. Coaching has been proven to transform relationships, increase learning, and dramatically change school cultures. This seminar is designed specifically for the district and school leaders who are committed to engaging in conversations that lead to transformational changes. This virtual training will be offered in 8 4-hr sessions from 1-5 PM via Zoom on the following dates: Nov. 16, Nov. 18, Dec. 10, Jan. 11, Jan. 21, Feb. 17, Feb. 25, and March 4.     Toyota Leadership Grant - Conference Opportunities

    Toyota continues to support PISD! Principals seeking opportunities to attend a virtual conference this year should consider options avaialble through the Toyota Leadership Grant program. Current PISD adminsitrators can discuss one of the opportunties listed in the Toyota informaiton packet with their SLI Director.
