  • NEW! Volleyball and Football Attendance Procedures


    Procedures for attending Middle School Athletic Events will be different this year due to safety measures needed to mitigate the spread of Covid-19. 


    Tickets - No CASH purchases at the gate. All tickets will need to be purchased digitally in advance.  The option to purchase digitally will be available at the gate, but admission will not be granted if MAX capacity has been reached. 


    ***NOTE:  Select the HOME TEAM school in order to purchase game tickets for the events. 


    Lmited Seating - Social distancing measures have reduced the attendance capacity of the facilities. Pre-purchasing tickets in advance is the safest way to ensure your ability to attend the events.

  • Meal Service Updates: Effective Monday, September 14

    Plano ISD applied for and was granted a waiver from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) providing free meals for all Plano ISD students, whether enrolled in either Face-to-Face or School@Home. This is effective September 14, 2020, through December 31, 2020, or while USDA funds are available. Please read additional information below and visit www.pisd.edu/grabandgo for details.


    Meal Service for PISD Face-to-Face Students

    Due to a waiver issued from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), effective September 14, 2020, all Plano ISD Face-to-Face students will receive free breakfast and lunch meals through December 31, 2020, or while USDA funds are available.  


    Plano ISD Face-to-Face students will have the opportunity to purchase a la carte snacks and drinks during meal service.  


    Curbside Meal Bundles for PISD School@Home Students

    Due to a waiver issued from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), effective September 15, 2020, all Plano ISD School@Home students will receive free breakfast and lunch meal bundles through December 31, 2020, or while USDA funds are available.  


    Weekly meal bundles will be provided on Tuesdays from 9:30am to 10:30am and 4:45pm to 6:00pm at Clark HS, Shepton HS, and Williams HS. Starting, September 22, meal bundles will also be available at McMillen HS and Vines HS.  Meal bundles will consist of five breakfasts and five lunches.  


    *Anyone picking up meals for students, without the student present, must bring appropriate documentation in the form of a school issued ID, report card, parent portal attendance summary form, or birth certificate.


    Hybrid Meal Bundles for PISD Face-to-Face Learners 

    Due to a waiver issued from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), effective September 15, 2020, all Plano ISD high school/senior high cohort A and cohort B students will receive free breakfast and lunch meal bundles, for at home consumption on asynchronous learning days through December 31, 2020, or while USDA funds are available.  


    • Cohort A student meal bundles will be available for pickup in the cafeteria on 

    Tuesdays, from 4:15pm to 4:30pm.  

    • Cohort B student meal bundles will be available for pickup in the cafeteria on Wednesdays, from 4:15pm to 4:30pm.  


    Federal Meal Applications

    We continue to encourage households to apply for free and reduced-price meals, in the event USDA funds become unavailable. To complete a federal meal application, please visit https://schoolcafe.com/pisd. Allow 10 business days for application processing.  


    Menus and Payment Options

    Menus can be found on the Food and Nutritional Services website. Online payments will be accepted through the Rycor Student Quick Pay system. Cash and checks will also be accepted.

    Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year, Eagles!

    We know here has been A LOT of information and updates these past several weeks and we appreciate your patience and partnership as we've all been working together to reach this exciting moment - the start of our new school year!

    Virtual learning in this new remote format is new for ALL of us - students, parents, and staff - and we know there will be bumps along the way. Patience, flexibility, and grace will be important for all of us as we venture into this new way of learning together. We are so excited to begin this new school year with you and can't wait to get started.

    Your child’s schedule should now be available in Parent Portal. We appreciate your patience with the later than normal schedule release date this year as we needed more time to create a schedule that considered the requests from families for either Face to Face or School@Home. To view your child’s schedule, you can log in to the Parent Portal here: https://parentportal.pisd.edu/Login.aspx.



    If you have not yet picked up a Chromebook for your student, please do so tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at Haggard any time after 8:00 am. Every student will need a Chromebook to log into their classes on the first day.



    For returning students, their Chromebook login is the same username and password that was used last school year. If you are unable to login, please refer to the following links for help on student logins and passwords.     During the virtual learning time period of August 12th through September 4th, Haggard Middle School will follow the schedule(s) included below. The schedule shows the times students are to be engaged in Synchronous Learning and the times that students are to be engaged in Asynchronous learning.


    • Synchronous: Learning or activities that happen at the same time in virtual space. 
    • Asynchronous: Learning or activities that can happen independently, without teacher supervision

    All students have been assigned a district email address. The email tile has been added to Webdesk and instructions are attached to access through Google classroom. Email will be subject to monitoring and filtering to ensure the safest environment possible while still enabling necessary communication related to instruction and learning.

    PISD WEBDESK: It is essential that all students access all instruction through PISD’s webdesk: http://webdesk.pisd.edu/ This is how attendance will be accessed and students will be able to best participate in the learning process.


    GOOGLE CLASSROOM CODES: Google Classroom Codes will be needed to access virtual instruction. Your teachers will share their Google Classroom Codes with you through your Webdesk. You can find your teachers' announcements using the My Backpack tile on your student Webdesk at http://webdesk.pisd.edu/

    With school now underway and student schedules set, we will have Textbook and Materials Pick Up next week so our students can get the additional items they need for their classes. We will have textbooks and materials available for students on the following days:


    8th Grade - Tuesday, August 18th

    8:00 am - 5:00 pm All 8th Graders


     7th Grade - Wednesday, August 19th

    8:00 am - 5:00 pm All 7th Graders


    6th Grade - Thursday, August 20th

    8:00 am - 5:00 pm All 6th Graders


    Families with students in multiple grades are welcome to come up on either student's day to collect materials. Just like Chromebook pick up, please have your student's name, grade level, and ID number clearly displayed in the front window of vehicle and we will place materials in the truck or back seat of your vehicle.




    Free and Reduced Meal Applications:

    Free and reduced meal applications are now available at www.schoolcafe.com/pisd. If you have never filled out a meal application, just click on “Create a New Account.” Student eligibility status from the 2019-2020 school year will roll over only for the first 30 operating days of school or until a new application has been processed. It is important that households complete an application for the 2020-2021 school year as soon as possible. Households should allow 10 business days for application processing.

  • Helpful Information for 2020-2021 School Year

    Schedule Release and Returning Student Registration:  Parents of ALL returning PISD students are asked to please log into Parent Portal to verify/update registration information before the start of school.  Registration information must be updated in Parent Portal before your student’s schedule can be released to you on Monday, August 10th.  Parent Portal can be accessed here:  https://parentportal.pisd.edu/Login.aspx

    Incoming 6th Grade Events: Unfortunately, middle schools are unable to host an in-person 6th Grade welcome event this year but are preparing a virtual 6th Grade presentation that we will send out before school starts on August 12th.  Please be sure to watch for that email soon.


    eNews:  We’ll be sending out beginning-of-year communication to ALL families until school starts but will also start sharing our weekly eNews newsletters once school begins.  Our Haggard eNews is an electronic subscription (voluntary) that parents and families are invited to sign up for to get important information, announcements, schedules, etc. from our school.  To subscribe: https://elist.pisd.edu/

    In order to ensure that both cohorts A and B participate in the same number of synchronous learning days, Monday, October 5, has been designated a synchronous day for cohort A students (last names beginning with A-L). This change applies to both face-to-face and PISD School@Home learning environments. Cohort B students will participate in asynchronous activities on October 5.
