Free Meals Waiver Ends
The United States Department of Agriculture waiver that allowed Plano ISD to provide free meals to all students during the 2021-22 school year is set to expire at the end of this school year. Plano ISD will resume charging for meals during the 2022-23 school year based on student eligibility for meal benefits. Families who may qualify are encouraged to complete a federal meal application for free and reduced-price meals. The 2021-22 meal application will be honored for the first 30 days of the 2022-23 school year. The 2022-23 meal application will be available after July 1, 2022. Read more.
Families Are Asked to Complete Intent to Return Form
In order to help campuses schedule classes and staff appropriately for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year, families are asked to complete an Intent to Return Form online. Please complete the form as soon as possible since planning for the upcoming school year is already underway. If your family does not plan to return, we ask that you complete the Intent to Return form as well since that information also helps with planning.
