  • Hedgcoxe Elementry Kindergarten Roundup Continues

    What to Bring:

    • Original or Certified Birth Certificate
    • Immunization Records
    • Social Security Card for the Child (if available)
    • Proof of Residency in Plano ISD (gas, electric bill or a lease)
    • Parent or Guardian's Drivers License

    We are continuing to register students turning 5 on or before September 1st, 2018.  If you have a child in this age group please stop by as soon as possible to pick up your kindergarten packet as we are currently pre-registering and planning our kindergarten classes.

    Copies of the documents and perents' drivers license will be made for our ducumentation.  Your child will be registeres for Kindergarten when all information is completed.

    Registration packets can be picked up in the Hedgcoxe front office:

  • School Safety Information Meetings

    Plano ISD is hosting three opportunities for parents to attend an informational meeting about school safety.   District safety nd security personnel, alomg with representatives from the Plano Police department will share information regarding security measures currently in place, projects scheduled for this summer, and proposals that are being discussed for future implementation.

    Presenters from the Plano Police Department include:

    • Sergesnt A.D. Paul, SRO Program supervisor and Department Coordinator for the Crisis Intervention Team
    • Lieutenant Sandra Rodgers-Tomeo, SRO Program Manager and former Criminal Investigations Division supervisor
    • Lieutenant Mica Lunt, Plano Police Homeland Security and Training

    Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions and suggestions via a comment card, with part of the evening being reserved dor answering questions.  The question cards will also be used to create a Frequently Askes Questions that will be shared in the Plano ISD website.

    Although the neetings are being hosted by senior high school feeder, you are welcome to select a meeting date and location that is most convenient for you.  Each meeting will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. at the following locations:

    Feeder: Plano West Senior High

    • Meeting Location:  Sockwell Center for Professional Development located at 6301 Chapel Hill Blvd. Plano, TX 75093 (overflow parking is available across the street at The hops at Willow Bend)
    • Date and Time: Monday April 9, 2018 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.

    Feeder: Plano Senior High

    • Meeting Location:  Sockwell Center for Professional Development located at 6301 Chapel Hill Blvd. Plano, TX 75093 (overflow parking is available across the street at The hops at Willow Bend)
    • Date and Time: Tuesday April 10, 2018 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.

    Elementary Transfer Online Numbering system for 2018-2019 School Year

    The office of Student Administrative Services has an online numbering system for elementary transfer requests to reduce the need for long lines on the April 16th transfer request day.

    Beginning April 9 at 6:30 AM, parents must log into the Plano ISD website at http://www.pisd.edu/transfer to receive a number that will hold a place in line for requesting a transfer for the 2018-2019 school year.  Online access will end April 12 at 5:00 PM

    Transfer day will be Monday April 16, with doors opening at 7:45 AM at the Plano ISD Administration Building on 2700 w. 15th Street

    Computer stations will be available on April 9th at the following Plano ISD location to accommodate anyone without computer/internret access:

  • Hedgcoxe Multicultural Night is April 10

    Our annual multicultural night willbe an evening filled with cultural experiance and activities, a pot luck dinner, various family Art Night projects, and fun for the whole family.  Grab a yummy plate of food, create some art, and visit with some Hedgcoxe family.

  • Family Education and Guidance Services Presents:Middle School: It's so DIFFERENT!

    Help! Middle school is here. What does that mean for my child? How can I help my child adjust to middle school? This is new. How do I parent a middle school child most effectively?

    Making the transition from elementary to middle school is an exciting, challenging time for all children and their parents. Young teens continue to change rapidly throughout middle school. Join with interested parents in a discussion on how to navigate all the changes positively.

  • Does Hedgcoxe Have Talent?

    Hedgcoxe's annual talent show will take place for K - 2 on Wednesday April 18, and for 3 - 5 on Thursday April 19.  It's time to start thinking about performances and register.  Pleae go to the Talent Show Newsletter, tiny.cc/2018TalentShow, to get information regrding the Talent Show process, to register, and to stee FAQs.

    Registration is ON LINE only, and you can access the forms through the newsletter.  If your child is in a group act, each person in the group must have a form turned in.  Applications and music are due NO LATER THAN 3/30/2018 at 3:30PM.  If you have questions regarding the talent show contact Shelley Antoniou at shelley.antoniou@pisd.edu
