4th Grade Teacher - Team Leader

Experience in Education:

This is my 10th year teaching, and all of them have been here at Hedgcoxe. I have worked for Plano ISD for 14 years. 

Family: 

I currently live in Princeton with my husband Austin, our two kiddos Julieth and Will and our three doggo children. My furry children are Pickett Nox (Double Doodle), Ollivander Hamilton (Lab/German Shepard Mix), and Lavender Fawkes (Shepard/Hound Mix). Most of my family live in the area and I spend time with them whenever I can!

Interests/Hobbies:

I am a HUGE Dallas Stars fan!! I go to a game whenever I can! Other than going to hockey games, I enjoy doing crafty things (painting, knitting, scrapbooking, etc.), being around my family and friends, and listening to music! I also LOVE anything and everything Harry Potter! Reading the Harry Potter Series growing up gave me my love and passion for reading. I read the first two books aloud to my class every year. I know that not everyone will be a fan, but I hope sharing my passion and book that got me hooked will encourage my students to find books they enjoy reading as well.

An Interesting Fact About Me:

Before I decided I wanted to become a teacher, I wanted to be a veterinarian. So I got a job at a local Animal Clinic and I have worked there since 2003! I still work there most Saturdays and holidays as the receptionist!
