School Counselor

Welcome to Hedgcoxe Elementary!!

My name is Brooke Burnette, and I am thrilled to be your school counselor going on the 7th year at Hedgcoxe!  My family has lived in this area for 24 years and my husband is a proud Plano Wildcat graduate.  

After our turbulent year last year, we are so looking forward to our school year with excitement as we return to the new normal.  I am thankful to be serving this community.

 This is my 20th year in education in the elementary school setting.  My husband and I are recent empty nesters.  My oldest son, Riley, recently graduated from the University of Arkansas (WPS) and he took a position in the beautiful Northwest Arkansas area.  My middle son, Luke, is a senior at University of Oklahoma (Boomer).  My youngest son , Owen, is a freshman at the University of Oklahoma (Boomer).  Yes, all boys, but I love those little girls too. :)  My dog, Maggie, is the queen of the castle and I know your students will hear a lot about Maggie.

I am looking forward to working with the entire school community.  It is going to be a great year!
