1st Grade Teacher

Experience in Education:

This will be my 5th year teaching! I have taught second and first grade. This will be my first year teaching in Plano ISD. I taught my first four years in the Chicago suburbs, but relocated to Texas this summer to escape the Chicago winters! I am so thrilled to join the Hedgcoxe community this year!

Family:

I moved to the Dallas area to be closer to my sister, Jenny, and brother-in-law, Mike. They are my favorite people to be around, so living near them has been my favorite part of my new adventure so far! My amazing parents split their time between Chicago and Dallas. Of course, I have to mention the furry members of my family...Maisy, Toews, Daisy, and Knox.

Interests/Hobbies:

I love spending any time that I can outdoors! My summers are spent boating, swimming, hiking, paddle boarding, taking walks and exploring. I love to travel and visit friends and family around the country as well. After school hours, you can find me spending time at an Orangetheory Fitness, cooking and baking, or reading a good book.

Interesting Fact About Me:

I am a huge hockey fan! I will continue to cheer on my Chicago Blackhawks here in Stars territory! (:
