Plano ISD Head Start is now accepting applications. Head Start is a federally funded program for preschool children who live within the district boundaries and whose family income falls within federal guidelines. For more information please contact the Head Start Office.
Current sophomores and juniors are invited to apply (now until 5 p.m. on March 1) to the Plano Mayor’s Summer Internship Program, an eight-week paid internship, June 10-Aug. 2. If selected during the job fair on April 26, interns earn a minimum of $10 per hour working 20-to-40 hour weeks. Students must complete an online application, be enrolled in Plano ISD as a sophomore or junior; have a 3.0 minimum GPA; be 16 years of age by June 10, 2019 and eligible to work in the United States. On January 15, the Plano ISD Board of Trustees voted to adopt Draft A as the 2019-20 academic calendar based on feedback from the community and input from administration. The calendar features a start date of August 12, with the last day of school being May 22 which falls prior to Memorial Day.
