My name is Najah A. Ahmed, and I am thrilled to join Shepton team this year. 

This is my 7th year in counseling with my experiences ranging from grades K-12. I received my masters in education from Lewis and Clark College. During my education, I was fortunate to begin my career as a school counselor at Portland public school as a high school and then a middle school counselor for 3 years. I moved to Dallas, Texas in 2020 and continued to work as a counselor in Dallas and Irving. I am passionate about serving our youth and working alongside them to help meet their goals and celebrate their individual success. I believe that every student who walks through my door has a unique ability as well as their potential to be successful. I can't wait to partner with you in your child's educational and social emotional success.

Apart from work, I enjoy long walks, reading, music, dancing, bike riding, cooking and swimming with my two boys and husband. My husband and I have been married for 16 years. We started off in Michigan and ended up living in Portland for 12 years before moving to Dallas, Texas. We absolutely love it here with our families close by. As a family we are huge fans of Harry Potter, Avengers, Lord of the Rings, X-men.... and the list continues...
