With 18 years of diverse experience in education, I have dedicated my career to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. Born in Plano, Texas, and a proud graduate of Richardson High School, I am married with two amazing teenage sons, which further fuels my passion for nurturing young minds. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from Texas Woman’s University and a Master of Education in Education Administration from Lamar University.
Throughout my career, I have embraced various roles, from teacher and department chair to mentor teacher and instructional coach. My extensive experience also includes serving on the Site-Based Decision-Making and Campus Improvement Committee, contributing to the revision of the Student Handbook and District Discipline Policy, and acting as a District Cognitive Development Trainer. Additionally, I specialize in Teacher Certification Preparation and Education Consulting, reflecting my commitment to supporting educators and improving educational practices.
At Shepton High School, I’m inspired by the team’s enthusiasm and the distinctive Wolfpack Howl that embodies our spirit. My teaching philosophy revolves around an inquiry-based approach, designed to offer students unique opportunities to delve into science and enhance their English language proficiency, aiming for the ultimate growth of every learner.
