Purchasing Services is responsible for the procurement of the supplies, materials, equipment and services that are necessary for our 72 schools and 20+ offices to function efficiently and cost-effectively. Plano ISD Purchasing Department utilizes an electronic bidding system called E-bid for the vast majority of our bids. It's a very user-friendly application that allows you, the vendor, to register with the system, which then alerts you via email when a bid comes up in one of your chosen categories. You can respond to the bid totally online, submit online and then will be notified once the bid has been opened and evaluated. Surplus Items Auction Information -
Items that are either no longer serviceable, are obsolete, or have been replaced with new equipment, are approved for disposal by the School Board of Trustees. Once items have been declared "surplus", the District uses the services of Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. that conducts E-Auctions on behalf of Plano ISD. Criminal History Guidelines -
Every person who wishes to serve as a District employee, volunteer, camp counselor, private teacher or contractor, or any other person who will have contact with District students, shall have a criminal history search performed.
