    The Purchasing Department at Plano Independent School District is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services in accordance with state and federal law in order to meet the needs of our campuses and departments, at the best value for the District.     Plano ISD Purchasing Department utilizes an electronic bidding system called Ionwave for our bids.  Vendors interested in working with Plano ISD, are invited to register as a supplier with Ionwave.  Prospective vendors will indicate what products and/or services they are interested in providing to Plano ISD. This allows vendors to receive email notifications when the District issues new proposals.     Surplus Items Auction Information

    Items that are either no longer serviceable, are obsolete, or have been replaced with new equipment are approved for disposal by the School Board of Trustees. Once items have been declared "surplus", the District uses the services of Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. that conducts E-Auctions on behalf of Plano ISD.     Criminal History Guidelines

    Every person who wishes to serve as a District employee, volunteer, camp counselor, private teacher or contractor, or any other person who will have contact with District students, shall have a criminal history search  performed.
